Description

Ethiopia is often called the birthplace of coffee—and rightly so. To this day, the country remains a favorite in the specialty coffee world. The reason? Unparalleled flavor diversity and a deep-rooted tradition. Coffee production there is still largely natural and manual. Most farmers operate on a small scale and rarely use artificial fertilizers or pesticides. Harvesting and processing are carried out with great care and according to centuries-old methods.

Region
This coffee comes from the Redo Mountain region, located about 20 kilometers from Gedeb, in the renowned Yirgacheffe region of southern Ethiopia. The microclimate there is strongly influenced by native tree species that provide shade, contributing to the slower ripening of the coffee cherries. This slower development results in greater flavor complexity. For this batch, the cherries were dried directly at the farmers' farms, in a way that enhances their quality.

Taste
The result? A lively and elegant coffee with pronounced fruity notes and a refreshing hint of lemongrass.
